Anne Cappel – Executive Director

Anne Cappel is devoted to strengthening Greater Cincinnati’s dynamic international business community. Under her leadership, the EACC has effectively doubled membership since 2007 and integrated businesses of all sizes and niches into a community that builds relationships, shares best practices, and promotes economic vibrancy. During her tenure, she has been responsible for raising the visibility of Greater Cincinnati among international leaders in Washington D.C. and Europe, through high profile events and visits to Cincinnati by dignitaries from France, Germany, Russia, Italy, among others.

Ms. Cappel has built her career around her passion for international business and cultural relations. She started her career as Director of Business Services at World Affairs Council of Greater Cincinnati where she developed and managed the World Interns Program, focused on recruiting international young professionals for local companies. She went on to serve as an Account Executive for Air France before joining Resources Careers, where she worked with families of expatriates to indentify professional opportunities in Greater Cincinnati.

Hailing from France, Ms. Cappel has a keen understanding of the cultural and economic intimacies of both Europe and Cincinnati. She is a maestro relationship builder and her endeavors to stimulate business and networking relations between the two regions have earned her transatlantic recognition. In 2011, the French Ambassador to the United States recognized Ms. Cappel’s significant contributions to the French government and its citizens with a formal induction into the French National Order of Merit, a lifelong honor and Knighthood. Ms. Cappel has also been named a 2011 WE Celebrate “Woman of the Year” finalist by the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, CincyChic’s 2010 Career Woman of the Year and “One of the Most Interesting People of 2009” by Cincy Magazine.

Ms. Cappel regularly lends her expertise as a guest speaker to organizations such as the Cincinnati Rotary Club and the Xavier University Women’s MBA Association, among others. She is Honorary Consul of France for Ohio and has been named to the Executive Order of the Commodores, an organization that assists the State of Ohio in economic growth. She is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Cincinnati where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing.

Natalie Bieser – Project Manager

As Project Manager of the EACC, Natalie Bieser manages the planning and execution of business conferences, member events and EACC external communication efforts. With a background in non-profit communications and event planning, Ms. Bieser brings a finesse for developing relationships within the community to the EACC, a key asset to her role as Project Manager.

Prior to the EACC, Ms. Bieser served as a Communications Assistant with the Cincinnati Symphony and Pops Orchestras, where she managed media relations and event logistics, and other key organizational tasks. She also worked in an Account Executive and Media Relations role for Cincy Chic, an online lifestyle publication.

Bieser is a graduate of Miami University, Oxford where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Sociology. She is the Co-Chair of CSOEncore! for the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, a member of Mayor Mallory’s Young Professional Kitchen Cabinet, the Young Professional Lead for the Miami University Alumni Association-Cincinnati Chapter, a member of the Junior League of Cincinnati and a member of the Munich Sister City Association of Greater Cincinnati.

Ilona Lonneman – Development Manager

Ms. Lonneman will be responsible for membership development and retention at the EACC, in addition to customer service, relationship management, membership engagement and communication. Originally from The Republic of Moldova, in Eastern Europe, Ms. Lonneman is fluent in English, Russian, Armenian and Romanian. Previously a Branch Manager for Hertz Local Edition, Ms. Lonneman developed one of the company’s leading sales territories, directed all operational activities, managed sales and client relationship building. Ms. Lonneman is currently pursuing collaborative research with Xavier University on business opportunities and marketing strategies in emerging markets.
Ms. Lonneman earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the Free International University of Moldova and a Master of Arts in European Studies from ‘Hoschschule Bremen’ University of Applied Sciences in Germany. She speaks internationally on the subject of International and Transatlantic relations and is a member of the Southwestern Social Science Association. She resides in Hebron, Kentucky.
