Transatlantic trade and investments is the largest economic relationship in the world stimulating job creation and economic growth between two historic and strategic partners. A skilled and educated human capital on both sides of the Atlantic has been one of the drivers of economic and diplomatic prosperity. Today, amid over 13 million unemployed in the United States, countless companies struggle to find qualified workers, slowing down production and transatlantic trade.

On May 16th 2012, the European-American Chamber of Commerce (EACC) will gather in Cincinnati international, national, and regional experts along with policy makers from both sides of the Atlantic to present to corporate executives, community leaders, educators, and parents a one-day conference that will address this issue and:

1. Establish a clear understanding of the urgent need to recapitalize the U.S.’ skilled labor workforce for economic prosperity and global competitiveness

2. Create an opportunity for a transatlantic dialogue to learn about successful European educational models of apprenticeships for consideration in developing U.S. solutions

3. Identify and connect educational, trade, industry and community partners

4. Inspire partners and leaders to develop solutions for our region, nation and transatlantic economic prosperity

A supplier and partner expo will take a place throughout the day and networking reception will immediately follow the conference.Following the all-day Skilled Labor Workforce conference, join EACC members and the international business community in celebration of stimulating five successful years of transatlantic trade and economic prosperity between Greater Cincinnati and Europe at the annual Gala Dinner.

On January 26th, the Cincinnati Enquirer published an article, Factory careers are where it’s atdiscussing the urgent need of skilled labor workers in the U.S. in the manufacturing industry. The article quotes EACC Board President and Hahn Automation President, John Baines and Feintool Vice President of Marketing and Sales, Lars Reich and EACC Executive Director, Anne Cappel.

The EACC thanks the following Marketing Partners for their support:
