Thanks to all of you who attended the EACC Annual Gala on Wednesday, May 3. Despite the mildly uncooperative weather, the event was a remarkable success. Participants surveyed expressed great satisfaction with all aspects of the event, and were near unanimous in indicating their intent to attend next year and to recommend attendance to friends and colleagues.
There were clearly two highlights for the evening. First, was the presentation of the EACC's first Transatlantic Bridge Builder Award to the remarkable Anne Cappel, who so ably led the EACC through its first decade. And then there was the powerful keynote speech by Ambassador Armando Varricchio of Italy, who reminded us that our ties to Italy and to Europe are strong and deep and are built not just on dollars and cents, but on the foundations of a shared love of liberty.
Pictures of the event have been posted to the EACC Facebook page
