EACC Welcomes Saxony DelegationNovember 03, 2015
Last week, the EACC, along with its partners REDI Cincinnati and the German American Chamber of Commerce (GACC) of the Midwest, welcomed a delegation of six advanced manufacturing companies from Saxony, Germany to the greater Cincinnati area (information on these six companies can be found here). The eastern German state of Saxony is one of Germany’s most important hubs of invention and innovation.
During their visit, the companies learned about Greater Cincinnati's key assets as an attractive market to successfully launch their US operations. The three-state, 15-county region is home to over 2 million residents and 120,000 businesses, including 10 Fortune 500 companies, according to REDI.
Delegation members also had the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of US manufacturing practices, while also meeting potential business partners and customers. Furthermore, the visit included a tour of EACC member TechSolve.
Networking opportunities continued through the EACC sponsored Stammtisch held at Hofbräuhaus Newport and a reception hosted by EACC President Circle member Frost Brown Todd. We thank all of our members and partners who participated in welcoming the delegation to the region.
Prior to arriving in Cincinnati, the delegation had the opportunity to visit and network in the Chicago area.
