    March 15, 2016

The EACC has identified Italy as a key country for inbound and outbound business development opportunities.

Italian companies located in the Greater Cincinnati region represent the best in class of Italian industries. EACC members include Bonfiglioli, Eurostampa, Luxottica, Perfetti and Salvagnini

Over the years, the EACC has celebrated the great assets that each company brings to our community, and EACC members have had the privilege to visit their world-class facilities on EACC private tours and events.

The leadership of each company embraces the vision of the EACC to stimulate business development between Europe and our region and have opened up opportunities well beyond Greater Cincinnati.

In support of the EACC Talent Development Initiative, Luxottica, for example, hosted an honor student study abroad group from the University of Cincinnati's College of Business.

Additionally, in support of the EACC Economic Development Initiative, Sonia Bonfiglioli, Chairman of Bonfiglioli, invited an EACC delegation to its world headquarters in Bologna for seminars on business opportunities in the USA for its suppliers as well as for the members of the Unindustria Bologna.

Unindustria Bologna is the second largest industrial association in Italy, representing over 2,000 companies in one of the country's most important provinces in terms of number of manufacturing companies (more than 95,000) exporting over 11 billion Euros.  The association leads the internationalization of its members, largely small and medium size companies.

The EACC is privileged to partner with Unindustria Bologna. Building on the successful collaboration event in October 2015, the EACC will return to Bologna to participate in Farete 2016 (September 5-6 2016). This platform facilitates the meeting of manufacturing companies aiming to establish business relationships.

    How it Works:

Unindustria Bologna is currently selecting companies from its network who are seeking suppliers, clients and business partners overseas. The company list will be available in June.

The EACC is inviting industrial companies from the Greater Cincinnati region to share their interest in finding suppliers, clients and business partners in Italy.

In June, we will begin the matchmaking process for companies who are planning to participate in Farete. Unindustria Bologna may cover flight and accommodation costs for qualified pariticpants (those manifesting a real interest in meeting Italian companies to evaluate business collaboration).
