FBT’s Joe Dehner was assigned the role of U.S. general purpose attorney for the recent “Nordic Roadshow” to Oslo (Norway), Copenhagen/ Malmo, Gothenburg, Stockholm (Denmark/ Sweden), Helsinki (Finland) and Tallinn (Estonia). The six-day tour to five countries was the very first effort of the U.S. Government’s SelectUSA program to attract foreign direct investment to the U.S., offering state, local and regional Economic Development Organizations (EDOs) the opportunity to market their locations directly to potential investors in the Nordic region. Each Roadshow stop featured a half-day seminar with sessions on how to invest and expand in the United States, legal and tax issues, site selection, hiring and visas, and investor success story testimonials.
